Are you a fan of 80’s rock? Bad Science fiction? B-Grade Horror? Did you love the Rocky Horror Picture show? Evil Dead? The day the earth stood still?
Well too bad, because this is none of those… But it’s close!
Joondalup Encore Theatre Society (amateur society) is holding auditions for the David Spicer production “Rock Apocalypse”. This hilarious, high-energy musical is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to some well known B-movies and cult classics.
Auditions start at 7.30pm Tuesday 4th Sept 2007 at Padbury Community Hall, Caley Rd, Padbury. All successful applicants must be available to perform on January 24th, 25th, and 27th and February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Auditionees (except the band) will be required to have two musical pieces of their choice ready to perform, and will be required to read a section of the script.
We also need a “Rock A Billy Band”, please bring a long musical piesces of your choice to the audition.
Backing is not required for the musical pieces, however those wishing to utilize backing music must ensure that such music is supplied in a standard audio format (CD, Tape, or MP3). The company will supply no accompanist.
Stage crew will be essential for the successful production of this performance. Those wishing to sign up for a backstage role in this performance are welcome and encouraged to do so.
