Perth Playback Theatre is calling for new performers. ACTORS AND MUSICIANS Playback Audition Workshops Thursday Nights 6 Weeks Starting 12 July 2007 We will be running a series of 6 workshops. Participants will learn the basic performance forms practiced by Playback & will be asked to engage in ‘play’ with one another and with company members. Having engaged in the series of workshops, some participants may be asked to become probationary members of Perth Playback. In the interests of attracting the broadest range of performers to Playback, all workshops will be offered freely to the public. What is Playback? Perth Playback Theatre Company is a professional company of actors and musicians who are paid for their performance work. Playback is an improvisational form of performance that asks actors and musicians to respond to input from the audience. The work is reflective of the audience’s experiences and quite literally seeks to ‘playback’ the feelings and stories offered to the forum. This work is very rewarding for performers and audiences alike.
