REHEARSALS COMMENCING - First Week in August
CHARACTERS
King of Lot Elderly: cheerful, wants to give up his Kingdom in favour of his son so that he can enjoy his retirement.
Prince Caspian: Heir to the throne of Lot. A Brave and Dashing hero
Lord Fusspot: Chamberlain and Royal Dignitary and advisor to the Prince.
Queen Priscilla: Queen of the Kingdom of NAG. No nonsense, strong character.
Dame Delightful: Lady in Waiting to the Queen and Princess Lucinda’s chaperone Usual “Over The Top” Panto Dame.
Princess Lucinda: Wayward daughter of the Queen. Bossy, strong -willed, and tom boyish. Wears a “Principle Boy” costume for some of the time.
Nip: (Male or Female Role) Bodyguard to the Queen. Typical “Panto Clownish” role.
Tuck: (Male Role) Bodyguard to the Queen. Typical “Panto Clownish role:
Maudlin: Evil Wizard who wants to take over the – two Kingdoms. Can also double up in Chorus if necessary
Deadly Nightshade: Nasty ‘Gothic”Fairy and cohort of Medusa’s
Medusa: (Male or Female Role) Wicked Witch. To be played as ugly as possible at start.. He/She then will “change” into a ‘Transvestite” (ie Rocky Horror) type of character if played by a MALE or a “Cruella De Ville” type of character if played by a FEMALE.
Boggle: Non-speaking role. Servant to Medusa. He is a revolting, hunchback, and goblin type of creature. Who communicates by loud wet whispers and body language. His “hump” tends to move around to different parts of his body!!!
