The Movie Game

Elanora Players are looking for a male actor aged 60+ for their July production of "The Movie Game", the story of Jack Goldberg, an unemployed cinephile (movie nut) who has found himself in the midst of a pre-midlife crisis. Disenchanted with his weekly custom of meeting lifelong friend Samantha at a condemned movie theatre, Jack decides it’s time for a drastic change.  Jack’s overbearing mother convinces him to see “the therapist to the stars,” Dr Seuz, a somewhat unorthodox physician, who soon convinces him that in order for him to move on with his life he needs to play the leading man in his own romantic comedy.  Add to this a crazy director, dysfunctional parents, an awkward sister and a new love interest and you have the makings of a bizarre, fun night of events.
