The Greeks: The War

Premiere Production: 23rd August, 2007 - 7th September, 2007. The Greeks - The War, adapted by John Barton and Kenneth Cavander PMD are proud to announce that our premiere production will begin its season at Gasworks' intimate Studio Theatre, Albert Park, on the 23rd of August, 2007, running until the 7th of September, 2007. The Greeks - The War is a powerful, sharp-edged adaptation of three plays by Euripides and Homer that tell the story surrounding the Trojan war. The language is modern and the characters have been made accessible to modern audiences without losing the classic pathos that has made these plays award winners since they were first performed in Greece in the 5th century BC. Auditions will be held on the 20th and 21st of May, and the 3rd and 4th of June, so now is the time to contact the Director to find out more about the play and organise an audition time. Cast Requirements: 6 males, 6 females. Varying ages. One female role will require partial nudity.
