A black comedy based on the unusual everyday occurrences of a State Cemeteries office, this is a lighthearted look behind the scenes of something most of us only think about when the death of a loved one forces us to do so. This play will give the casti and crewi a rare opportunity to workshopi a new play with the playwright prior to its premiere performance at the Town Square Theatre in July. There are three parts for women and three for men, as follows: Deidre (50 years) The Office Manager. Single and efficient, very organised and dedicated to her work, and she's worked here for 20 years Maggie (35 - 40 years) Office Administrator, single and not so well organised, has an outgoing nature and great customer servic attitude. Flirtatious. Jasmin (20 years) The new employee, bright and bubbly with a good sense of humour and a degree of incredulity. Roland (40 years) Cemetery Director, he has a healthy and creative imagination and is a health fanatic. He is also single. Erik (40 years) A Funeral Director, married, charming, with a wicked sense of humour. Bill (60 years) Senior Gardeners, a widower. He used to work in the office before his wife died. A practical joker. All ages are approximate. Auditions will be held at the Town Square Theatre, off Barber Street, Kalamunda, on Saturday 28 April at 2pm.
