Mythophobic productions, the creators of Zen's Red Mouth (winner of the 2006 PACS member's choice award) are looking for a young male actor with a stage age in the early twenties.
The show is "Hope is the saddest" which first aired as a monologue in the 2006 Artrage Festival's "Solos and smalls". It is a light-hearted black comedy which looks at the ideas of idolatry and blind faith. The other two roles have been cast and the show is to go up at the Blue Room studio on June the 11th 07 for a three week season (Tuesdays to Saturdays). Rehearsals will take place within the three/four weeks leading up to the opening.
The role is of a confused and neurotic, shy young man who isn't sure of his sexuality. The performer will be paid through a co-op agreement, taking a part of the door sales. Any expressions of interest or questions should be emailed to Jeffrey Jay at strangemilk@gmail.com, hopefully by Friday the 13th of April.
