Necessary Targets

Auditions for Necessary Targets by Eve Ensler will be held on Saturday April 21st 2007 at 12pm at Old Mill Theatre, Cnr Mends Street & Mill Point Road, South Perth (opposite the Windsor Hotel) Necessary Targets will be performed at the Old Mill Theatre from July 27 to August 11, 2007. The play tells the story of two American women, a Park Avenue psychiatrist and a trauma counsellor, who go to Bosnia to help women confront their memories of war and who emerge from the experience deeply changed. It is a ground breaking play about women and war – about the violence of dark memories and the enduring resilience of the human spirit. Necessary Targets has been staged in New York by Meryl Streep, Anjelica Huston and Calista Flockhart. It was performed in Sarajevo with Glenn Close and Marisa Tomei. Eve Ensler is a New York based, internationally acclaimed playwright whose Vagina Monologues won an Obie Award.
