Auditions on Saturday & Sunday 3rd & 4th March from 10am to 2pm. Ensemble & minor roles = Saturday, Major roles = Sunday. Please prepare a song that shows your vocal ability. You do not need to sing something from the show. The roles to be cast are - MAME DENNIS - An eccentric, mature woman who lives life to the full - act/sing/dance PATRICK DENNIS - Mame's 10 year old nephew - act/sing - dance useful PATRICK DENNIS - 20 to 30 (the boy grows up) - act/sing AGNES GOOCH - Patrick's nanny 20-30ish - act/sing(needs sopranco) VERA CHARLES - Mame's long-time actress friend (similar in age) - act/sing(needs alto) ITO - Japanese! (not necessarily) Mame's manservcant - any age - acting essential, sing/dance a bonus BEAUREGARD - Handsome, wealthy and imposing Southern Gentleman. Marries Mame. Not a large role but VERY important. act/sing/dance preferred - additional song may be added RALPH DEVINE - Cameo role, mature. An eccentric who runs the Laboratory of Life school LINDSAY WOOLSEY - a suave publisher, mature, Mame's confidante. DWIGHT BABCOCK - Puritanical lawyer - Patrick's trustee. Mature actor - song/dance not needed JUNIOR BABCOCK - Patrick's friend (20/30s) small role for actor who can sing MR & MRS UPSON - Too rich Southern couple. Small but important roles, some singing needed GLORIA UPSON - A modern-day Southern Belle with too many plumbs in her mouth. Patrick's intended. MA BURNSIDE - Beauregard's mother. Old-school Southern lady - a formidable character PEGEEN - Small role, age 20/30. Patrick's eventual wife - she saves him from Gloria PETER - Age 10ish. Patrick and Pegeen's son. Small cameo role at end of play ENSEMBLE, ENSEMBLE, ENSEMBLE - A variety of young and mature singers/dancers will be needed to be Mame's eccentric friends, Southern ladies and gentlemen etc. Some dialogue for minor roles - not all will need American acents.
