"Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde"

AUDITION: Sunday 10th December at 2pm at Harbour Theatre CAST REQUIRED: Gabriel John Utterson - male, middle age, a lawyer Richard Enfield - late middle age, fashionable Lucy - teenager Charles - her brother, teenager Katherine Urquart - Lucy and Charles mother & Jekyll's sister, 30's Annie Loder - a parlourmaid, 20's Dr Henry Jekyll/Mr Hyde - early to mid 40's Poole - his butler Dr Hastie Lanyon - middle age A maid -any age Sir Danvers Carew MP - 50's A Parson - any age A Railwayman - any age A Woman (on platform) - any age David Edgar has turned Robert Louis Stevenson's famous story into "an urgent, superbly wrought and well-structured play." This version was first performed by the Royal Shalespeare Company in what was hailed as "both a theatrical feast and an intellectual challenge." A single actor will tackle both roles - his transformation from mild-mannered, myopic docotr to the fiendish Mr Hyde is merely the physical manifestation of the division within the Victorian psyche.
