Learn a step-by-step approach to directing that provides you with the tools and techniques required to elicit authentic performance from actors of all levels of experience. You will explore the differences between “result” and “process driven” direction, understand the power of active listening and discover that great acting (and directing) comes from the gut rather than the head! In this three-day “hands-on” workshop you will have the opportunity to learn and practice the keys of effective rehearsal and script analysis and take with you an increase in confidence and a sharper eye for direction. The Facilitator: Simone Young is an actor/director with ten years experience in the Melbourne independent theatre and film scene. She has been involved in facilitating actor/director workshop for various film schools (VCA, RMIT, AFTRS) and is currently the only provider of The Meisner Technique in Melbourne.
