Tuesday 23rd May 2006 - 7:30pm to 10:30pm Wednesday 24th May 2006 - 7:30pm to 10:30pm Auditions are conducted in groups every hour. The vocal and reading audition is a closed audition in front of the panel. The movement audition is done as a group in front of the audition panel. All auditionees must perform a song, even if just going for a role in ensemble. The show is a very large ensemble show, so even if it’s only very little of a song, the panel just wants to hear what sort of voice each member has. Vocal Audition - Choose a song that you are comfortable with and shows off the style, strength and sound of your voice. Please bring either music for the accompanist or a backing track. Reading Audition – Reading pieces will be available for perusal in the foyer before entering the audition room. Movement Audition – The dancing in the show will be quite heavy. The member on the panel will be a stand in for the regular choreographer, who is currently in Melbourne. The movement work for the audition will focus on taking instruction, an ability to follow and learn quickly, and a flow and rhythm with movement.
