Movement Course
8 weeks – Saturday 10.30am-1.00pm
7th February to 27 March
Do you find it difficult to approach a character from an organic and physical standpoint, or perhaps have never tried?
Each workshop will encourage participants to trust their instincts and become aware and appreciative of their own body, while recognising the importance of non-verbal communication.
Through a series of exercises and theatre games you will learn and develop techniques that are fundamental to stage movement and physical theatre and can be implemented in the process of characterisation.
Furthermore, a prominent Alexander Technique practitioner, Francesca Waters, will conduct sessions in this wonderful method of movement and relaxation.
For those members of the group who wish to extend what they learn in this course, an advanced movement course will begin later in the year.
