"Fat" is a short film of about 5-8 minutes that will be made by a crew of 5 second year Film and Video students from ECU. It is a great little screenplay that involves the appreciation, or lack thereof, of the beaty of the female form. Annie is the beauty, and her boyfriend, Bill, is the one who doesn't appreciate her, and would prefer to perve on the disproportionate bodies of women in "porn" magazines. The two young boys that live across the road from Annie, named Michael and Paul, think that she is beautiful, and leave her a love letter in the mail, making her feel appreciated.
The production dates when the actors may be required will be from the end of September until the end of October.
Characters required:
ANNIE: a young woman in her early twenties. Will be required to wear only underwear or lingerie for a small part of the film.
BILL: a young man in his mid to late twenties.
MICHAEL and PAUL: two young boys aged between 6 and 10.
Please note that these are stage ages only.
Auditions will be filmed and will require the actor to perform a scene or two from the film, but reading from the text is absolutely fine.
