AUDITIONS
The company that brought you Trading Fates and The Bald Prima Donna (‘Best Production - FRINGE 2003’) now presents the world premier of Brendan Cowell’s (ATM, Men and Rabbit) new play, Bed.
Bed follows an acerbic lover, Phil, through the five most significant sexual relationships of his life. The relationships range from three heterosexual, and two homosexual, at ages 14, 21, 30, 46 and 67. Bed received a share in the 2001 Patrick White PlaywrightsÂ’ Award. Set within a room that transforms into a garden, and experimenting with the manipulation of time and narrative, this production will be rich in imagery and physicality. It is a world where shadows walk on the ceiling, knives pierce and sand bleeds from the walls, and a blizzard of leaves and soil carry you through time.
2 Female and 2 Male actors are required to complete the cast of six.
The production will have a two week season in February 2004 at PICA.
Rehearsal period will be held over December and January
Audition dates: Saturday 4th October 10:00am 1:00pm Sunday 5th October 10:00am 1:00pm
Audition venue: Blue Room Theatre (53 James Street, Northbridge)
