AUDITION NOT REQUIRED FOR COURSE ENTRY.
The Revolutionary Drama Course lasts for 8 weeks, every Saturday afternoon, 1.30pm-4.30pm, from 27 September to 15 November.
This course will broaden your knowledge of classical and contemporary playwrights who have provided audiences, writers, directors and actors with plays that were revolutionary in their day, and still hold their own today.
Participants will read the plays of Arthur Miller, David Williamson, Tennessee Williams, Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekhov, then through a series of discussions and workshops, they will rehearse and perform scenes from those plays.
The workshops incorporate improvisation, stage movement and physical theatre techniques to portray the characters and genre of each play, and the skills and knowledge learned will enhance your versatility as an actor, writer and/or director.
