On The Move - A Cabaret

Play Right is proud to announce auditions for our brand new cabaret show, On the Move! After the enormous success of our first cabaret Comedy Tonight, we're back with a new production of planes, trains and automobiles, full of songs based on the world of travel in musical theatre. Just for fun, our format will be somewhat different to our earlier show - we're looking for this to be much more about ensemble numbers and group work rather than being mostly solo items, and we're thus looking for a slightly bigger cast. Performances will take place on the Friday 19th and 26th of September at the lovely Cabaret Room of the Village Green Hotel, on the corner of Springvale and Ferntree Gully Roads, Mulgrave. Rehearsals will be Sunday and Thursday evenings in Ferntree Gully.

Auditions: Sunday July 20th, at Wattleview Primary School, Wattletree Road, Ferntree Gully

Requirements: 6-8 motivated, enthusiastic performers who can sing in diverse styles, show lots of energy and animation on stage, hold harmonies and blend well vocally, and commit wholeheartedly to the rehearsal period and performances

Bring:
* sheet music in the correct key for two musical theatre songs which show off your vocal range, diversity of style and animated performing ability (while not necessary, songs which fit the show's theme would be appreciated)
* a photo of yourself and CV if you have them
* a big smile! (we're lovely people to audition for!)

Our company Play Right was created to give lots of people the chance to get involved in theatre. Although our cast is limited, we welcome everyone and anyone to come along and have a go - like our name says, we think performing is all about fun, and we hope our auditions will be a productive and enjoyable experience for all!
