An open audition session will be held for both new interested parties and current members for roles in 'Travelling North', to be staged during November 2003.
There are four female roles and three male parts, as well as two minor roles which can be filled by doubling with lead roles.
Parts available:
FRANCES - lead female, aged in 50s, attractive, elegant, anxious, temperamental but interested in the arts.
FRANK - lead male, in his 70s, athletic, assertive air of confidence and has been a Communist in the past.
SOPHIE - older daughter of Frances, gentle in nature.
HELEN - Frances' younger daughter, direct and incisive. Both sisters are attractive, middle class women in their late 20s-early 30s.
JOAN - Frank's daughter. Attractive and intelligent woman in her early 30s.
FREDDY WICKS - jovial widower in his 60s. Helpful, lonely neighbour of Frances and Frank.
SAUL MORGENSTEIN - local doctor. Sallow, lugubrious, manic depressive, wry, aged in his 60s.
An orientation session will be held at 7.30pm on July 28 at the Town Hall Theatre. All welcome.
Rehearsals are on Mondays and Wednesdays and start on August 11.
