The Play Study & Scene Acting Course lasts for 8 weeks, every Saturday afternoon, 1.30pm-4.30pm, from 5 July to 23 August.
This course will broaden your knowledge of classical and contemporary playwrights and give you the opportunity to perform scenes from their plays in the genre required for each particular play.
The skills you will learn will enhance your versatility as an actor as participants will read the plays of Arthur Miller, David Williamson, Tennessee Williams, Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekhov, then through a series of discussions and workshops, they will rehearse and perform scenes from those plays. The workshops will incorporate improvisation, stage movement and physical theatre techniques to portray the characters and genre of each play.
