JOONDALUP ENCORE THEATRE SOCIETY, in its tradition of presenting musical plays celebrating the life and music of American songwriters, will this year be producing a musical play about RICHARD RODGERS.
AUDITIONS - Monday 25/5/03 and Thursday 29/5/03 at the Community Hall, Christmas Ave, Heathridge.
PERFORMANCE DATES - 6, 7, 13 & 14 September 2003 with possible 27 September.
REHEARSALS - Thursday nights and then Monday & Thursday nights after 2 - 3 weeks.
AGE - 17 +
CAST NEEDED:
TV JOURNO - open to male or female. Large role but basically read from a book.
RICHARD RODGERS - Suave male 40+ (or close)
MRS RODGERS - Mature female (small role - only 2-3 lines)
DR RODGERS - Mature male (small role 4 - 5 lines)
LORENZ HART - Upbeat male 30 + (needs to be on the short side)
OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN - Male 30+
STUDIO TECHNICIAN - male or female (no lines, but needs to be alert and with a sense of humour
Actors will be asked to read some script.
SINGERS:
Soloists and large chorus needed.
Please prepare a song with a backing tape, CD, minidisc etc. ( We may have some limited easy pieces if you cannot prepare anything and would like to try anyway).
