"Silly Cow" is the favourite catch phrase of Doris Wallis, TV critic, tabloid columnist and self-styled bitch who doesn't let anything get in her way. But we dearly hope that what goes around comes around.

Written in Ben Elton's inimitable style, with language to match, Silly Cow is an hilarious satire (very Ab-Fab) on the power of the media, the tabloid press, and the effects of bad reviews on the sensitivities of actors.

DORIS WALLIS (30's - 40's)

Brash, bold and crude - her ambition knows no bounds. She uses and abuses everyone to get what she wants.

PEGGY (30's - 40's)

Doris' mousy, efficient, secretary.

SIDNEY (40's - 60's)

A loud, tabloid newspaper editor - with big plans. He talks the talk.

DOUGLAS (60's - 70's)

Doris' accountant - reserved, cautious and conservative.

EDUARDO (early 20's)

Doris' toy boy - a freeloading party animal.

All roles require British accents - London and/or Northern English.
