This intensive four week course is an introduction to movement for actors who find it difficult to approach a character from an organic and physical standpoint, or perhaps have never tried it.
Each workshop will encourage participants to trust their instincts and become self-aware and appreciative of their own body, while recognising the importance of non-verbal communication through a series of exercises and theatre games. You will learn and develop techniques that are fundamental to stage movement and physical theatre and can be implemented to the process of characterisation.
For those members of the group who wish to extend what they learn in this course, an advanced movement course will begin later in the year.
