Want to learn more about the Nuts and Bolts of project/company management?
Well great news, the Performing Arts Centre Society will be holding a skills development workshop for performing arts practitioners wanting to develop their project/company management skills.
The workshop will include speakers from government and non government organisations, as well as successful independant producers who have an amazing range of skills, knowledge and experience. Ample opportunity will be provided as part of the workshop for participants to ask questions specifically relating to their own needs.
Topics covered in the workshop will include:
Setting up as business structure;
Writing the contract;
writing submissions;
Not enough money? setting up business partnerships;
and Let's Go Country! Approaching Country Arts.
The speakers will include:
Workshop facilitator : Gibson Nolte - Artistic Director of Shakespearience, freelance actor, producer and director.
Workshop speakers : Mark Newman - Certified Practicing Accountant and PACS Board member; Irene Jarzebek - Director of Handzon Theatre Inc and freelance producer actor and publicist;
Ben Laden - Director of The Eater Presents, operating as a sole trader, freelance designer and installation artist;
Julie Summers - Director of Grant Search;
Steve Shaw - Project Development officer Theatre Board ArtsWA;
Sally Richardson - Peer assessment panel, Australia Council and freelance director writer and independent Director of S:Teamworks:s;
Greg Ross - Marketing and promotions manager of Barbagello Motors;
Rosemary Lenzo - Tour Organiser with Country Arts WA;
Andy Farrant - Director of Country Arts WA.
