CABARET

With the exception of Fraulein Schneider & Herr Schultz, the cast of CABARET consists of performers ranging in age from 16 – 40 who are physically fit, flexible, dynamic, competent chorus singers and who are prepared to take on the challenge of bringing a debauched and decadent 20’s Berlin nightclub back to life. The willingness to appear androgynous is also important as is a willingness to offer input, when requested, during the workshop/ rehearsal process.

Emcee: an androgynous man, slim, ageless, 18 +

Sally Bowles: attractive English woman in her 20Â’s
(this role has been cast and will be played by Nadia Nassif)

Clifford Bradshaw: American man in his late 20Â’s-30Â’s

Herr Schultz: Jewish German in his 60Â’s +

Fraulein Schneider: Jewish German in her 60Â’s +

Ernst Ludwig: handsome man in his 20Â’s

Fraulein Kost: attractive woman in her early 40Â’s

The Kit Kat Girls and Boys should be a mixture of physical types and aged between 16 – 30. They should be fit, flexible, competent in basic movement, uninhibited (!) and should be able to sing in chorus. More complex movement skills and/ or acrobatic or gymnastic skills would be an advantage.
