Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum- Mornington CEF Players
SondheimÂ’s first full Broadway score is a dazzler with witty lyrics and glorious music and a script written by the writers of Mash is the next production in May 2003 of the above company. Director Andrea Ford and musical director Gabriel Alexandrescu. The musical has Mornington Peninsula Shire funding.
Familiarisation will be 7.30pm on Tuesday 26th November at Factory 6 1140 Nepean Highway Mornington.

Pseudolus: Playful ringmaster of the show, needs strong delivery singing and comic timing (baritone) stage age 35+
Hysterium: Pseudolus' overeager fellow slave, a nervous and excitable worrier (baritone) stage age 35+
Miles Gloriosus: Pompous and imposing warrior, needs strong physical presence and powerful vocals (baritone) stage age 40+
Lycus: Courtsan salesman, a scheming money-lover (baritone) stage age 40+
Senex: Hero's aging and henpecked father needs strong comic timing (baritone) stage age 55+
Domina: Senex's overbearing wife Sings a challenging song (mezzo) stage age 35+
Hero: Handsome, innocent, and charming son. Romantic lead, (tenor/baritone) stage age 20-30
Philia: Lovely but vacant, courtesan, Romantic lead, needs good singing voice (soprano) stage age 20-30
Courtesans 6-8 female roles including featured courtesans-All must be strong solo dancers, with singing ability
Erronious: Doddering old man, stage age 44+
Proteans 3-6 clowning, singing, men who portray soldiers, citizens, slaves & eunuchs - tenor-bariton stage age 20_+
