The IFAC/EQUITY GUILD Awards presentation evening is an event to honour and recognise outstanding achievements by Western Australia's professional theatre artists and the companies they have worked for.
There are 7 Awards presented each year: Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Newcomer, Best Director, Best Production, Best Stage Manager and The Guild Award. The latter two being peer nominated Awards.
The Awards this year will be presented at a formal cocktail function at the recently restored art deco Mt lawley Bowling Club with the Minister for Culture and the Arts the Hon. Shiela McHale as guest presenter.
The Equity Guild welcomes attendance at the Awards from any interested member of the theatre industry, professional and non-professional.
SO WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?
2 free cocktails, free beer wine & softdrinks up to 9pm, thereafter all drinks at cheap club prices, fine quality cocktail food, coffee or tea, and dancing to live music by Jeffrey St. John and the Embers.
HOW FORMAL IS IT?
For women it means after five cocktail wear and for men it means black tie (preferred) but lounge suit and tie as a minimum.
